Subject: Fracture Line Model

I received your model, which is excellent. Over my 25 years in dentistry I slowly came to the same conclusions as you. My friend and I have always disagreed on % of endos after crowning a fractured tooth. I said 10%, he said 20%. One colleague feels it is so high he recommends doing the endo before crown on all. I believe that is excessive because 10% is pretty accurate. I agreed with so many other comments you made and your ability to explain it and show it with your model is perfect. I've already instructed my staff how to use it and greatly appreciate your product. I will recommend it to my friends and look forward to being able to educate my patients better.

In prevention, when I told my patients what to do I wasn't very successful. When I told them how, I only got a small improvement. When I taught them why, I got a significant increase in compliance. I believe all dentistry is that way. Explain the options well, and 90% choose to do the proper treatment. Our goal there is to find better ways to explain things that may be easy for us to see, but not our patient. I believe you have greatly helped me to perform this task.
